Materials & work process
Material’s
Over the past few years, my love and I, have been living in and out of our “home base” (- Israel) exploring different places all over the world. This reality of moving a lot and “living out of suitcases” created a need to stay as light as possible.
Therefore, choosing to focus on making collages came naturally to me, it required only a pair of scissors and some glue. I could start from “scratch” in every new place I arrived.
My materials are constantly changing, as is my inspiration from what I encounter along my journey. In much love and appreciation for the beautiful things that find my way, and the story behind them, I try to be as thoughtful as I can and I cherish reusing a piece of art or printed work of some kind, However, I try to use copyright free images from intended sources as much as possible.
I see a great value in using things to their fullest, seeking the potential in the ordinary, to create something new from the old. I strive to recycle and use materials that are available to me, and in many cases will go to waste otherwise.
I especially get inspired and excited when I come across some treasure from nature that I love to integrate in my work such as: delicate skeleton leaves after some decomposing, sophisticated spider webs, colorful butterfly wings, seaweed from the beach and moss from the forest I use, among others : Newspapers, magazines, wrapping papers, ads and labels ,maps ,anatomy books, children books, illustrated encyclopedias, postcards, old stamps, real (or synthetic) leaves & flowers, embroidery thread, lace, and basically anything that “speaks“ to me.
There is no limit. That’s the fun of making collages…

Work Processes
I usually start a collage by spreading out my ‘’stash’’ of papers all over the floor around me and playing around, looking for interesting combinations until something “clicks”.
An idea then starts forming around it. I slowly cut with scissors or a scalpel and connect piece to piece, “dressing up” the general concept and the small details within it as I go.
The work on one collage may take, on and off, between a few hours, days,or weeks depending on the detail level, my mood and the flow.. I’m usually working on a few different collages simultaneously, alternating back and forth between them, starting over with “fresh eyes” and a renewed patience…

Print process
When the collage is complete I pass it on to a print studio, for a high quality scanning or reproduction as needed, turning it into a digital file that can be printed.
(In the case of prints on clothing or other items, I erase the background of the collage in Photoshop, to get a clean borderless design, and resize for printing.)
In rare cases I also delete unwanted elements in retrospect or make some minors touch-ups
All Print Workshops and materials in my store were carefully chosen
to provide the best results possible.
* Please take into consideration that different Printers are used over the range of products and therefore different products in the same order may not arrive all at the same time.
